Competitions to be open to all members.
A novice is defined as any player not having won a bowls competition of any sort at any club.
Open draw for all competitions to be made by Competition Secretary and two other members.
First names in each match to be responsible for contacting opponent and offering at least two dates before completion of the round in question.
If two dates have been offered, failure on the part of the opponent to make the match by completion date will result in the match being forfeited. Equally, forfeiture will apply if the first named does not offer two dates before completion deadline (in the event of a dispute or possible extenuating circumstances, the Competition Secretary may be advised and asked for a ruling – which will then be accepted as final).
In the event of a withdrawal from the Pairs or Triples competitions, a reserve from the main draw will fill the vacancy. If there are no reserves the Competition Secretary will draw a substitute from a list of available players. This could also be at the Competition Secretary’s discretion. No substitute shall play as Skip.
Finals to be played on nominated Finals days but in the event of extenuating (and unforeseen) circumstances the Competition Secretary to be advised for a ruling as to possible alternative arrangements.
