A Special Place

CICELY GOLDSMITH

As most of you will be aware, we  recently lost our dear friend and supporter, Cicely.

Such a lovely lady, her presence at the club will be sorely missed.

Cicely's funeral, for those that wish to pay their respects, will be at the Crematorium on Thursday October 11th at 11:30 in the Oak Chapel ❤️

CLUB FINALS 2025

WEATHER GREAT....WELL SUPPORTED....STAGE SET....

SATURDAY morning saw Andy defeat Robbie in the Mixed Single Final, whilst in the Triples Final Rose, Nigel & John battled bravely but were overcome by Kath, Sindy & Damian.

The afternoon saw the much awaited Novices duel between Jo and Simon, with Simon taking the title. Meanwhile Robbie and Dave were contesting the Over 60's, our captain taking the honours after a tie-break.

SUNDAY morning and Cap'n Dave was in action again, this time in the Pairs. Partnered by Chris, they defeated Jo & John while Simon and Nigel were engaged in the Handicapped Singles Final. Simon winning this one.

The afternoon saw the elite titles, with entry into next season's Champion of Champions also at stake. In the Men's Andy took on the young pretender Damian as he looked to retain the trophy, and he succeeded despite a spitited effort from the challenger. The Ladies was a much tighter affair with Jo and Allison going toe to toe in a hotly contested match which went to a tie-break and kept the spectators enthralled, Jo winning on the very last end.

Very BIG thanks to all involved, the organisers, the green team, the bar staff and our very own cake lady, Jan. The spectators, the markers and of course the finalists.  All contributed to  a memorable Finals weekend. THANKS!

THE GENTS defeated the Ladies in their annual coming together. It was closer this year, 52-70 (1 triple to 3). A fun afternoon in the sunshine was enjoyed by all.

YET ANOTHER GREAT PRESIDENT'S DAY! As usual, thaks to all that turnd up in their red, white & blue and embraced the day. Thanks to President Bob for the excellent spread & Jan, Damian & Simon the cakes, thanks to Robbie for organising the games. Great day, great fun!

    BLETCHLEY & DISTRICT MIXED LEAGUE

AFTER LOSING OUR FIRST TWO GAMES, WE SUDDENLY FOUND SOME FORM AND WITH A THREE WIN RUN, FINISHED A VERY CREDITABLE THIRD IN THE FINAL TABLE...A MASSIVE THANK YOU AND WELL DONE TO EVERYONE THAT TOOK PART!

    Full table on fixtures page

ONCE AGAIN, the annual session with the cricket club proved an enormous success. Big thanks to all involved in the organisation from both clubs, those that played or helped out.  Couldn’t do it without you!

    ANOTHER GREAT TOM RUSH!

A really tight finish this year with only two points separating the top five. The playoff was between Allison & Chris and Penny & Fred with last years winner Penny and new partner Fred coming out on top. Congratulation! Thanks to all that played, supported  and helped out. (Photo's to follow)

    CONGRATULATIONS PENNY!

Great win in Champion of Champions, beating Shannon Maughn of Bletchley Town. On to the next round!

BIG, BIG THANKS to everyone that made the Open Day so special. Too many to mention individually but from laying the equipment out, preparing the green, organising the Tombola, running the bar, making the cakes (wow!) talking to our many visitors and guiding them through the basics etc etc... I think we showed evryone that came what a great little club this is!

    COMPETITIONS!

Entry for internal comps closes on May 10th. PLEASE ENTER AS MANY AS YOU CAN!

    BLUE IS THE COLOUR...NAVY BLUE!

Don't forget, we start off the 2025 season with club shirts and navy blue.  Whites & greys are gone, but of course greys are acceptable for roll ups.

    NEW FOR 2025...

Next season sees two new clubs on our fixture list. We have a visit to COGENHOE and home and away games against ROADE, we need a good turnout for these if we want to add them permanently to our fixtures. It's aways good to make new friends.
